Your wedding dress shopping questions, answered! Check below for common questions ahead of your bridal appointment:

  • While we don't require appointments, we do highly recommend making one since appointments have first priority. Your stylist works one-on-one with you, at your own bridal area, to ensure you are well taken care of!

  • Appointments typically last around 90 minutes. There is some flexibility during the week, but on weekends we typically book up. Don’t worry, this is typically all the time that is needed to find your perfect dress. However, we can always set up a follow up appointment to make sure you have the time you need.

  • We do not charge for appointments! However, we do require a credit card on file in case of no-show or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice. The last minute cancellation / no-show fee is $150.

    Occasionally, a bride will want to schedule a follow up or second appointment and this appointment does have a fee of $150. This is to ensure that your stylist and your gown(s) are specially reserved and waiting for you. When you officially say “YES” to the dress (yay!) that $150 booking fee will then get applied to your purchase. However, if you do not select a gown with us, it is non-refundable.

  • Our suggestion is to bring 3-4 guests, only those whose opinions you trust and value the most. Although we know the urge is strong to bring everyone you know to see how beautiful you look in wedding dresses, we promise that your shopping experience is best with only those few people!

  • You don't need to bring anything to your appointment (we have the dresses!) but we do suggest wearing nude, seamless underwear. See below question if this is your first time shopping...

  • During your appointment, you work with your trusted & super experienced bridal stylist. All of our stylists are personally trained by our Owner and Manager to ensure that they know every wedding dress inside and out. We'll learn more about what you're looking for and then the wonderful process goes from there! It's important that the people you bring with you are there with you in mind - you'll want opinions you trust, but also supportive opinions since your taste is your own. The ladies at Marie Gabriel Couture are here to help you find that perfect wedding dress for your big day, and a lot of times that will happen on your very first visit (it's true!) so be sure that when you make an appointment... You have your key people joining you so when you say "Yes!" to your dress, no one gets left out!

  • The collections that we carry send us mostly Bridal Size 12 samples. Overall, our sizes range from Bridal Size 10 - 16. Keep in mind bridal sizes run smaller than your regular clothing sizes. If you have specific questions about sizing, let us know when you request your appointment.

  • At the moment, our average bridal sample size is a 12 and our range is about size 10-16. Marie Gabriel Couture has a sister store, Brides by Young, which carries a wider variety of sample sizes from 14-36.

  • Yes! We are full-service when it comes to your wedding dress needs. Marie Gabriel Couture offers an After Service Package which includes storage of your wedding dress (in a climate controlled area) up until your wedding day, standard alterations, a breathable gown bag, and steaming of your gown and accessories.

  • Designer Trunk Shows are in-store events where we have wedding dresses visiting our boutique for a limited time. These wedding dresses are either from the designer's brand new collection, straight from the runway... or a traveling collection of their most beautiful styles. During a Trunk Show, designers typically offer special discounts and incentives. This could be anything from an overall discount to complimentary custom changes! If you book your appointment during a Trunk Show, you won't be limited to only that designer. You'll still have access to all of our wedding dress styles! (Please note that Trunk Show gowns, especially from collections that were just released, are going to be small in size compared to our normal store samples.

  • We typically recommend that brides shop around 1 year out from their wedding date. Usually we see brides around 10-15 months before the big day. That being said, we know that some engagement periods are shorter or longer - the most important thing is that you shop when you are ready to begin the process and fall in love with a dress!

  • Every wedding dress order is custom placed for you, which makes all sales final. A wedding dress and the accessories that go along with it are ordered for each and every individual bride - making your bridal look your own. When you place your wedding order with us, you know that you are in good hands with a reputable and trustworthy store and with designers that we in turn trust to make sure that your unique wedding day look is made from day one, with you in mind!

  • As our gowns are typically custom ordered we don’t off regular sales. However, MG lux to go is basically a daily designer sample sale with savings up to 70% off original prices and everything under $1299!
